Acrylic Sheet
Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), also known as acrylic, acrylic glass, or plexiglass, is a transparent thermoplastic commonly used in sheet form as a lightweight and shatter-resistant alternative to glass. Acrylic sheets are available in different colours, thicknesses, types and surface finishes for a wide range of applications.
Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), also known as acrylic, acrylic glass, or plexiglass, as well as by the trade names Crylux, Plexiglas, Acrylite, Astariglas, Lucite, Perclax, and Perspex, among several others (see below), is a transparent thermoplastic often used in sheet form as a lightweight or shatter-resistant alternative to glass. The same material can be used as a casting resin or in inks and coatings, among many other uses.
Applications of Acrylic Sheets
Acrylic sheets can be used for signage, architectural applications, lighting, industrial work, POP displays, equipment, security, safety, medical applications, automotive applications, gifts, machinery, displays, decorative projects and stationery. The available colours, thicknesses and finishes allow acrylic sheets to be selected according to the requirements of different projects.
